TACA Georgia's Traditional Welcome Summer Picnic!

Dear TACA Georgia Friends and the Atlanta Community,

As we brim with the energy of spring, we are delighted to invite you to our traditional "Welcome Summer" picnic to greet the season together with enthusiasm! Join us for a delightful day on the lush green lawns of Blackburn Park Pavilion on Sunday, May 4th, from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM.

Why Should You Attend? This picnic is more than just delicious food and pleasant weather; it's a special gathering where the laughter of our children, the energy of our youth, and the warmth of our families converge, strengthening our community spirit. It's a unique opportunity to meet families who have recently moved to Atlanta and to reconnect with friends we haven't seen in a long time.

Please share this invitation with acquaintances who may not receive TACA Georgia announcements – let's gather in greater numbers!

Food Sharing and Refreshments Refreshing beverages and basic picnic essentials will be provided by TACA Georgia.

We kindly request our guests to contribute to our shared potluck table by bringing a Turkish dish based on the first letter of your last name, as categorized below:

• A - D: Appetizers / Cold starters / Olive oil dishes
• E - I: Cheese / Olive varieties
• K - P: Savory or sweet pastries (Börek, poğaça, cake, cookies, etc.)
• R - T: Seasonal salads / Chopped tomato-vegetable platter
• U - Z: Fresh fruits / Snacks (Chips, etc.)

Fun for Kids: Ebru (Water Marbling) Art Workshop We have a special activity for our younger guests! Thanks to the contribution of Melisa Karan Music & Art Academy, children (ages 5 and up) will explore the colorful world of traditional Ebru art. They'll create their own unique patterns with colors dancing on water – a fun and educational experience!

• Participation: Open to all children ages 5 and up.
• Special Price: $25 per child.
• Registration: Please register by emailing contact@melisakaran.com by April 30th. Materials will be provided by the academy.
• Space is limited!

Reminders

• Don't forget to bring your portable chairs for comfort.
• We recommend wearing hats and using sunscreen for the sunny weather.
• Surprise activities also await you at the picnic site!
